MAC Vegas Volt Lipstick Product Review

Feeling like I need to inject more colour into my makeup pallet I decided to try out Vegas Volt

Lipstick of vegas volt MAC in this picture
Described by MAC as:
"Full power coral (Amplified Creme)"

In the tube I like this orange-coral shade with rich, intense colour however I don’t think it does much for my complexion.
However I do find the lipstick very moisturising and requires only a couple applications for full coverage.
I would recommend a lip pencil to make sure the lines are sharp and neat.
What do you guys think does it suite me?
Have you tried this shade?
How did you find it?

How I Clean My Makeup Brushes

How I Clean my makeup brushes

This has to be one of the worst chores ever but I can’t put it off because dirty brushes will  transfer old makeup, germs, and bacteria each time you use them. Increasing the risk of break outs.
I used to clean my brushes once a week until I came across this little beauty when I visited the IMATS last summer
Bottle of makeup Brush cleanser
BeautySoClean Conditioning Brush Cleanser
BeautySoClean Conditioning Brush Cleanser is a super-efficient yet gentle makeup brush cleanser that quickly dissolves all makeup residue while leaving your brushes fresh, clean and soft. The perfect blend of alcohol and emollients ensures your brushes will feel soft and dry within seconds.
Every day after I apply my make-up I simply spray my brushes with BeautySoClean Conditioning Brush Cleanser and Voila I’m good to go!
I still give my brushes a wash to be on the safe side but I now do it every two weeks.
Telling people how i clean my brushes
to make sure they are cleaned thoroughly I spray the brushes with BeautySoClean Conditioning Brush Cleanser then leave them for 5 minutes
Telling another product which is Clean on me
I wet the brushes and add a drop CLEAN ON ME by Soap and Glory
(I like CLEAN ON ME by Soap and Glory because I like the way it makes my brushes smell and I like that is a push down dispenser)
And rub gently into the bristles, until the lather starts to foam
Rinse and repeat until the lather is completely white being careful to avoid distorting the shape of the brush or not to get shampoo in the ferrule, or the metal part that holds the bristles and the handle together
Give a final rinse and then blot the brushes dry on a towel
All the brushes are laying on a towel
Lay the brushes flat on a towel overnight.

BeautySoClean costs £11.00 and can be purchased from Feelunique
CLEAN ON ME costs £6.00 and can be purchased from  Soap and Glory

How do you clean your make-up brushes and how often?

Mineral Mud Therapy by La Cure Blend Review

I’m juicing bitches

I thought I had been doing well in watching what I eat and trying to get my 5 pieces of fruit and veg a day when it was pointed out to me that most vegetables I don’t even bloody eat.
I had also looked in to various supplements but kind of got bored of that.
My aunties had just started a juice diet and had been singing brazes about it to me I looked at the thick funny coloured liquids they were drinking and thought nah that’s not for me.
That being said since I have been on prednisone I have been up very late at night and had seen the infomercials for The Bullet

and thought that it looked a bit fun
After some more consideration I decided that I wanted to at least try out adding fresh juice to my diet.
Then I got a phone call from Auntie V..
Auntie V: I know what I am going to get you for a late birthday present
Me: A Bullet? (I had watch the infomercial the night before)
Auntie V: What … No.. I’m going to get you a blender but its not a Bullet
Me: Imma be juicing bitches!!

Monday I received my Morphy Richards Easy Blend

How Morphy Richards describe it:
Morphy Richards Easy Blend Blender 48415It's easy: you blend and drink from the same beaker so there's less washing up. It has 2 speeds and a pulse function to blend soft and hard fruit to your own taste. Just add fresh or frozen fruit, or any ingredients you like, some liquid and even ice (great for cocktails or for kids' slushies), blend, then pop on a sealed drink-through lid and your drink is ready to go. Includes two 795ml beakers and two drink-through lids.Blend - Add the drink through lid - Take away and enjoy!
300W
2 speeds, pulse and off
Pulse function
Ice crushing ability
2 x 28 oz measuring marked engraved cups with beaker lids
Easy to travel with and store
Stainless steel ice crushing blades
Easy to clean the base, blades and beaker
Dimensions(cm): Depth: 13.8 x Width: 11.5 x Height: 34cm
Colour: White

I found the machine simple enough to use and I liked the fact that it came with two cups with beaker lids however there could be a bit more grip as I have at times found it very hard to open and close.
I also like the Pulse setting which I didn’t realise was there until after my 1st try because god forbid I take the time to read the instructions.

My first Juice attempt consisted of:
Cucumber
Banana
Apple
Mango
I suppose I could work on my presentation

Because that’s what I had in the house lol!

Must say that I really enjoyed it and it did fill me up until dinner.
I am optimistic that this will be a really good way to get some more iron in to my diet as green vegetables are the ones I detest the most.
I have added broccoli to my last few shakes and I don’t even notice the taste.
I even took some to work
I have since ran out and brought a loads of fruits and vegetables so that I can try out loads of different combinations

Here are some benefits of juicing
Juicing can be enormously beneficial for health, and can also help you lose weight as part of a balanced diet plan.
It supercharges your nutrient intake by providing your body with pure micronutrients, vitamins and enzymes - with none of the bad stuff that constitutes processed food.
By putting the most nutritious fuel into your system possible, you can kick start your metabolism and give your body a break from all of the strange chemicals you've been challenging it to process until now.

Have you tried juicing?

CYBER by MAC Cosmetics Lipstick Review

Cyber is a lipstick that has been on my wish list for a while and I finally got this. I'm so in love with this vampy purple lipstick!

Described by MAC
"Colour plus texture for the lips. Stands out on the runway. Simmers on the street!
What made M•A•C famous."
Recently I have been getting more into dark vampy shades recently as I really like the way they work for my skin tone.
I spotted  Cyber from MAC worn on one of the artists during a MAC haul and had to have it.
Cyber is a dramatic and moody dark plum purple lipstick with a Satin finish. I love the darkness of the shade it's a prefect winter colour!
I find you need to apply a few coats of this lipstick to get it's true colour and I go around my lips with foundation to keep the lines sharp
(I should probably invest in a decent lip liner).
If  you like a bold dramatic lip colour Cyber is defiantly one to try

Living With Lupus But Still Blogging And Fabulous

Hey guys I hope March is treating every on well
Those that have been paying attention to my Instagram and twitter may have noticed some changes in my posts so I
thought I should explain it.
You may have noticed my food diary
 and my work out posts
and also many of my hospitals visits-
I have never said this on my blog but some have figured out that I am a Lupus suffer for the past year have been dealing with a flare which is the reason for the hospital visits and also the reason that I have not been doing outfit of the day posts (Sorry guys the steroids have made me fat and I haven’t felt like taking pictures).

What is Lupus?
There are two main types of Lupus

Systemic lupus
Is a chronic and presently-incurable illness of the immune system, a condition in which the body's defence mechanism begins to attack itself through an excess of antibodies in the blood stream causing inflammation and damage in the joints, muscles and other organs.
The name systemic lupus implies that almost any organ or system within the body might be affected and lupus is perhaps the classical multi-symptom illness, deserving of far greater priority and investigation by the medical community.

Discoid lupus
Is a condition of the skin alone, and in a very few patients can develop into systemic lupus.
Lupus may be triggered by various means and can present in a bewildering number of ways, even to the extent of mimicking other diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or multiple sclerosis.
The causes of lupus is not positively known though research has provided evidence implicating heredity, hormones and infections including viruses.
Some 50,000 may have lupus in the UK and 90% of sufferers are female, mainly between the ages of 15 and 55.
With its many symptoms, lupus can often be overlooked by a GP or consultant which may delay final diagnosis and a vital start to necessary treatment which can contain the disease and hopefully limit potential damage to the kidneys, heart, lungs or brain. Those diagnosed usually remain in medical care and receive ongoing treatment. Many symptoms will have less impact but there may be side effects.
Lupus can adversely affect the lives of sufferers and their families, and influence relationships with friends and business colleagues.

What are the symptoms of Lupus
Joint/muscle aches and pains
Permanent rash over cheeks
Extreme fatigue and weakness
Increased risk of miscarriage
Rashes from sunlight/UV light
Flu-like symptoms and/or night sweats
Weight gain or loss
Inflammation of the tissues covering internal organs with associated chest and/or abdominal pain
Seizures, mental illness or other cerebral problems
Headaches, migraine
Kidney problems
Oral/nasal ulcers
Hair loss
Depression
Haematological disorders including anaemia
Swollen glands
Poor blood circulation causing the tips of fingers and toes to turn white then blue on exposure to cold (Raynauds)
A person with lupus may have four or five symptoms, where some of these might recede and/or others develop.
Health Online also have a great diagram that demonstrates the effects Lupus Has On The Body

For more information about Lupus please check out Lupus UK

How does Lupus effect me?

Even though I was diagnosed with Lupus some time ago and i have been having a flare for nearly a year its hard to say exactly what my symptoms are because they change,
I can honestly say no two day are the same for me,
The most consistent symptoms has been
Fatigue
(However while i have been on Prenilsone I have had insomnia)
I would literally come home from work get ready for bed and go to sleep yet still wake up late for work the following day

Joint pains

mostly in my hands, arms legs but I'm sure if pretty much had it in most of my joints by now i find that a hot bath helps with the swelling as dose good old ibuprofen
I wont go through the long list of all my symptoms other wise this would be a long ass post lol!
but I'm happy for people to email me at: wotshernameagain@gmail.com  if that have any questions about the above list of symptoms or just want some advise
(I am not a doctor but I will try to help anyway I can)
Before I was diagnosed with Lupus I was naturally very slim and toned so I didn't think about the kind of foods that I ate or put much effort in to exercising then Steroids got involved and I am now having to consider what I eat and how it benefits my body and I have to say I am really finding it very interesting.
The girl that never ate ANY fruit or veg is now regularly getting her 5 a day and has discovered home made smoothies yum
One thing I must say I  am proud that I have managed to keep with my Wots Her Name Again Blog because honestly it has sometimes been my only motivation to get myself out of bed.
What can I say I do it because I love it and I hope you guys enjoy reading it bad grammar and all lol!

I am considering starting a Wots Her Name Again LUPUS BLOG which details some of the things I go through as a Lupus suffer and how I overcome them also so perhaps that will come soon.

As my health improves I hope to be come up with interesting posts more often so in till then thanks for reading my blog

Do you think I should write a blog about Lupus?

FaceB4 Skincare Seminar Review

Last night I was invited down to the Club Room at Mortons in London to take part in a Seminar hosted by  Sarah Harding and Medichem
The topic of the night was
Skincare
how and why we all suffer from spots and blemishes
What causes outbreaks and how for the first time embarrassing eruptions can be prevented and treated.
We were also given the opportunity to have a look at one of Medichem’s newest skincare regime calledFaceB4 which consists of the following:
Combined cleanser and toner
Which contains a patented ultra biocidal complex including Salicyilic  to help clean pores and reduce excess oil, in order to help help maintain clear skin.
Anti-bacterial Serum
Which is suitable for all skin types and vitamin enriched to moisturise, soothe and protect skin

Over champagne and nibbles we were all allowed the opportunity to interact with the products as wells ask the representatives from Medichem questions about their own skin concerns.
My first impressions of the product are very good the I didn’t play too much with the Combined cleanser and toner too much but the ingredients look good and I imagine if used regularly it would work.
The Anti-bacterial Serum could possibly be my new best friend, it is very light and absorbed quickly leaving my skin feeling soft and moisturized without feeling greasy.
I also liked the fact that it didn’t have a heavy smell. I am very interested to try this product for a period to see how it works with my skin which is prone to the odd break out but not really problematic.
However as I acknowledge that I have quite oily skin and I wear make up most days I do try to make an effort with my skin care regime.
Another benefit of this regime which was mentioned by Sarah Harding is that is simple yet effective there is only two steps and two product unlike other brand where there can be up to five!

This is a really selling point to me and I can’t wait to give it a try.

What is your skin care qualms and how to you combat them?
